T.G.I. Friday’s® Mobile App Makes It Easy for Guests to Earn Their Stripes

Friday’s® Mobile App enhancements let Give Me More Stripes® members manage their stripes and rewards from their smart phones

CARROLLTON, Texas, Aug. 6, 2012 – T.G.I. Friday’s is making it easier than ever for its millions of Give Me More Stripes members to take advantage of all the benefits of being a Stripes member. Now, through enhancements to the Friday’s Mobile App, Stripes members can use their smart phones to quickly and easily check and request Stripes rewards as well as show Stripes rewards certificates to their server without needing to print anything out. 

“Since we launched the app earlier this year, the Friday’s Mobile App has continued to gain popularity among our guests, who are tapping into all the unique features like paying the tab and sharing happy hour updates,” said Ricky Richardson, chief operating officer at T.G.I. Friday’s. “Now, we’re excited to build on the app’s functionality by making it easier than ever for guests to use the app to tap into all their Stripes program benefits – whether in the restaurant or on-the-go.”  

The Friday’s Mobile App now features functionality that makes it easier for Give Me More Stripes members to request self-credit. By simply scanning the receipt barcode, members can get immediate credit for their visit. The scanning device is built into the app and does not require any other software or apps be downloaded.

These new features add to the app’s already robust functionality, which includes giving guests the ability to find a Friday’s restaurant location, browse the menu, settle the bar tab and share updates about happy hour, special drinks and menu promotions through their social networks. Smart phone users can go to the iTunes Store or Google Play to download the free app.

Additionally, loyal Friday’s fans that aren’t already Give Me More Stripes members can use the Friday’s Mobile App to learn more about the program and sign up on the fly (as well as get a free appetizer or dessert coupon when signing up through the app). 

The app’s unique pay-at-the table functionality and newly added loyalty program integration was developed in a joint collaboration between Tabbedout, Illume Mobile, The Richard’s Group’s Click Here, Inc., Merkle, Inc., MICROS and Carlson IT.
